NEW APPOINTMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH.— correspondent.] • WELLINGTON. Monday. Advice has been received that Mr. E. N. Gunsaulus, Consul-General for , the United States at Halifax, Canada, has been appointed Consul-General for New Zealand in succession to Mr. D. H. Wilbur. Mr. Gunsaulus, who is 64 years of ,age, has been in the consular service for over -20 years. He has been at Halifax for three years.
