WAR MEMORIAL FUND.

FINAL APPEAL JOS, £50,000. THE HERALD LIST. RECEIVED. In the campaign to secure the full amount necessary for the Auckland War Memorial Museum, much has been done. A "generous readiness to contribute has been ; Bhowii by those Aucklandera to whom application has been made, as the published lists show. With all the progress the sum secured has not yet reached the necessary total. The appeal, therefore, continues. It is one which should be felt by all, for those whose deeds will be enshrined in the memorial building gave themselves and their i.ervicefor a)!. No offering need be thought too small ; it is by a multiplicity of rmall offerings that all Auckland will make the memorial its own. The greater the number who help, the more .will it be a testimony to the gratitude of ell the people for deliverance from the perils of war. Those who wish to do so may make their contributions through the office of the New Zealand Herald. A list has been opened at the office; contributions may be left, or may be forwarded by post. They . will be acknowledged through the columns of the Heuald, and will be paid over to the Citizens' Committee. RECEIPT OP CONTRIBUTIONS. OFFICES AT, THE CENOTAPH. The people of Auckland will be afforded opportunities from to-day to make their contributions to the Auckland War Memorial Fund at the appeal headquarters at the Cenotaph. Arrangements were made yesterday to have officers of the Citizens' Committee in regular attendance at the Cenotaph, commencing to-day. The Citizens Committee has prepared an attractive booklet setting out the objective, and a start was made yesterday to post these to the householders of the city, but those who have not received a copy will be able to do so on application at the office behind the Omotaph, where other literature dealing with the public appeal, which will be launched next week, will be issued.
