.' THE AUCKLAND CLUB. SUMMER COMPETITION. - The first of the monthly summer competitions of the Auckland Golf Club was played on Saturday, at the Midulemore links. The event was a. medal competition, and was for a tiviphy presented by Mr. F. G. Bnrney. A verv strong wind made the conditions somewhat difficult to the 34 players who took part. TIA winner was R. G. R&mger. with the excellent score of 81, less 5, net 78. The two next best cards were S. C. Hodges, 95. 12—81 anH G. P. Foote, 91. 8— 83.
