CLEARANCE OF SHIPPING.

DEPARTURES ON SATURDAY.

SEVERAL SHIPS DUE THIS WEEK,

There was a -general clearance of shipping from Auckland on Saturday, when six steamers left for overseas or southern ports. The first to get av vy was the City of Ncfles, which sailed for Napier. She was followed at intervals by the Kawatere for Newcastle, the Turakina for Wellington, the Royal mail steamer Makura ? or Sydney, the Kaitangata for Napier, and the Trelevan for Sydney. The only arrivals other than local coasters during the week-end were tha Huia, schooner, from Dunedin; the Eakapo from Greymouth, and the Eon* from Fiji. A number of vessels are expected at Auckland this week. The Kaikorai is due from Newcastle to-morrow; the UKmaroa from Sydney, and the Arawa from. London, via Wellington, on Wednesday. On Thursday the Middlesex is due from Sydney, the Waihora from Newcastle and the Komata from the south. The Wangatui is expected from the south on Friday. Other vessels due toward the week-end are the Trevithic from Texas, the Port Hacking from New York, and the Port Victor from Liverpool.
