BAVARIAN SEPARATISTS.
RESTORATION OF MONARCHY.
FRENCH AID NEEDED.
A and N.Z. LONDON. Nov 20 The Munich correspondent of the Times reports that a movement is afoot to proclaim Prince Rupprecht King of Bavaria. Rupprecht personally does not consider the time ripe, but his supporters are making efforts to force his hand on the grounds that earious (political factions .would be united under his rule. , It is also urged that Rupprecht would be an ideal successor to Von Kahr, who continues to flounder amid vain attempts io remedy the economic situation. It is difficult to see how Bavaria could establish a separate kingdom without, at any rate, the benevolent neutrality of France. This, it. is said, would be assured, provided certain, definite concessions were guaranteed to France. Whatever may be the details of the scheme, there is no doubt the restoration of the Monarchy is being seriously discussed in responsible quarters.
