USE OF A TRADE NAME.

INJUNCTION GRANTED.

An interlocutory injunction has been granted in the Supreme Court by Mr Justice Stringei restraining the Tonson Garlick Company, Ltd,, from using certain trade names. For somo Itime Tattersfield Textiles, Limited, of Auckland, has been manufacturing carpets and rugs to which it had given the trade name of "The Auckland Reversible Wool Rug" aiid 'The New Auckland Rug." Recently the defendant Company advertised ft British rug as "the famous Auckland rug, and action was taken by the plaintiff company on the ground that this description would probably lead the public to believe that the rugs sold by the Tonson Gnrlick Company were those locally manufactured by .Tattersfield Textiles, Ltd. These representations were accepted by Mr Justice Stringer, and the desired injunction was granted.
