The "offices for the Auckland Electric Power Board, for which - tenders are being called, will be of two storeys, and will be constructed of brick, steel, and concrete. The site in Quay Street has been cleared and levelled, preparatory to laying the foundations, which will be of "snfficiant strength to carry a further two ; storeys if necessary. The interior de sign is simple but business-like. All the fittings, here will be of oak. On the ground floor will be the general offices, with a large space before the counters for the accommodation of the public. On. the first; floor will be the board room, committee room, offices for the engineer's staff, and a temporary showroom that will be used until a showroom in the city is available. Work will be commenced on this ; block as early as "possible.
