The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows -.—Present indications arc for strong south-westerly to south-easterly winds, and weather squally and changeable, with heavy showers, espe-, cially in the Northern and East Coast districts. The barometer .has a rising tendency, but is unsteady in the South. HERALD SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H.M. Vincent last evening: Fine weather will predominate locally and in northern districts, but still cloudy and j unsettled at times.
