CONSTITUTION OF BOARD. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT WELLINGTON. Wednesday. ' The personnel of the Maori Ethnological Research Board, appointed under the Act passed last session, was announced Co-day. The members ,of the board will be the Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister for Native Affairs (chairman): Sir Maui Pomare, M.P.; Hon. A. T. Nra'ta, M.P. ; Messrs. Taxi Henare, M.P.; ft. W. Uru, M.P.; R. N. Jones Under-Secretary foi Native Affairs (deputy-chairman) ; J. Hislop Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs Elsdon Best, Dominion Museum Herbert Williams, Gisborne; . H. D. Skinner, Dunedin; and Dr. P. HI Buck, Te Ranj?ihiroa, Auckland. . Mr. Best is a well-known publicist of Maori lore customs and traditions, Mr. Williams has been instrumental in Che production of tho latest Maori Dictionary, and Mr. Skinner is the lecturer .on ethnology at Otago University. The new board will hold its first meeting in Wellington next Saturday.'
