Cable Association:-.-(Reed. 5.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE., Oct. 3. ; At the opening wool sale of the season the offerings showed the clip to not so well crown as last season, and shorter in staple Competition was good, but less keen than was anticipated. ; Compared with last season ; closing, rates prices for : super to good • Merino are par to 5 per cent, lower; bes't skirtings at par; lower grades 5 cent, advance; locks & to 10, and lambs 5 per cent, advance. ■''■'}■'■ '___„.
