FARMERS' UNION OPPOSED. The possibility of a' duty being imposed on imported cocksfoot seed ; has caused the Auckland Provincial Farmers' Union to communicate with its Dominion headquarters to formulate a strong protest. During the recent session of Par-> liament a petition was presented by cocksfoot growers at Banks Peninsula asking that a duty should be imposed.
