OPENING THE ASSEMBLY.
POSITION OF GERMANY.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Reed. 4.5 p.m.) _ GENEVA. Sept. 2. The city is crowded for the opening of the Assembly of the League of Nations tomorrow. The admission of Germany causes speculation, though it is thought unlikely that she will make application.
The Council of the League of Nations has decided. to refer the Irish and Abyssinian applications for membership to a committee
