applications for LOANS.' The Auckland Land Board met yesterday, the Commissioner of. Crown Lands, Mr. H. M. Skeet, presiding. There were also present Messrs. R. Boddy, J. P. Bailey, W. G. Hayward, anal B- Sladden. Twenty applications for .loans for stock and improvements were considered. Ten were recommended for the approval of the Minister, and the remaining 10 were similarly recommended subject to investigation by the commissioner. Of 12 applications for transfer or sub-leases 11 were recommended for the approval of tho Minister, - two being subject, to investigation by the commissioner, and one was adjourned."
