CLOUDBURST OVER TOWN. [BS TSLEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] : ' WARKWORTH, Wednesday. . . The exceptionally wet weather has caused much sickness, but fortunately better conditions now prevail. Last week there was a cloudburst, when 57 points of rain fell in 15 minutes, flooding., all the streets. Fortunately there was no serious damage. * The Kaipara Dairy Co. held a public meeting of suppliers in the Warkworth Town Hall on Monday. Mr. Rirnmur, chairman of directors, presented and explained the balance-sheet. Mr. A. W. Wyllie was nominated for the vacancy on the directorate. Mr. Sterling addressed the meeting on the matter of quality m cream, illustrating his remarks by-means of charts..;.'' ~ The Warkworth Road Board at its last meeting let a number of contracts for metalling roads in its district, there being keen competition among the tenderers. As the board is shortly to be merged in the county, it is anxious to get as much work done' as possible before the merger. j
