THE TRAMWAYS.
, Sir, Your article regarding our tramway service is timely. One almost 1 despairs at the thought of an improved service. I know the management is severely handicapped by the lack of cars, but surely that is no reason for 'the confusion of the . present system. Now we shall revert to the disgraceful scenes that used to bo so prevalent during the rush hours, owing to the recent changes in the destination signs. Why not let a band of business men form the Tramway Board ? I feel sure we would then have an immediate change for the bettor. _ This morning I bought a 3s concession ticket-, and find that it is invalid after May 30. Why ? Then again, ;we have a most wrctched "service on the Blount Eden route. I understand theife are only four. cars running, apart from the rush hours. A number of Mount Eden residents-waited for over an hour at the Grafton Road Bridge last Thursday night, unable to ; get a car, and so it goes on. No wonder, the public is disgusted with our tramway system, which is becoming a by-word throughout the Dominion. Mt. Eden Resident.
