FINAL |f DEBENTURE ISSUE.

' The Thames ■ Valloy Power Board met to-day, Mr. F. H. Claxton presiding; > Tho engineer • reported that the work of constructing 'the' high tension line, between Tnrua ?,nd Paeroa would be undertaken in ■ about a ) fortnight, -'; and: it 'would no doubt b<9 possible to instal. a telephone service between Ngatea and the Paeroa depot. In regard to iWaghorn's;Road, Manawaru, the \ engineer advised ; that the poles were now on the road and power would be available in time for the next milking . season. The board decided to make a canvass of the Kiwitahi area.
:At a special meeting held afterwards a motion was passed rescinding resolutions for the issuing .of debentures worth £30,000, which wero part of the original loan of £200,000. A motion was " passed authorising the issue of debentures of £100,000, comprising ? ; £25,000 with the Bank of New Zealand and £75,000 with, the A.M.P. Society, making up the balance of the £200,000 loan. : V
