WATERSIDER'S HOARD.
SECURITIES FOR £3000.
-Unsuspected Wealth, amounting to about £4200, . Has been brought : to light -by the death of a watersider, whose estate is being administered by the Public Trustee at Auckland. '; ' ; ,- ;'..,;;'.,'-;,
The deceased man occupied , a single room in a lodging-house iin-, Victoria Street, and the police, on searching his room after being notified of his death, discovered £14 in cash, and savings bank accounts to the value of about £1200. Subsequently the Public Trust officers found fixed deposit receipts ; and WaftLoan certificates to a total value of £3000 ma tin containing bread and other foodstuffs '• ■~ ;'..,.:..■
Apparently a well educated and a widely-travelled man, deceased, it 'is thought, had no relatives in the Dominion.
