DR. S E. P. NEALE'S CAREER, j '-. The Doctorate of Science recently con- j erred upon Mr. E. V. Neale,; of Victoria University ■ College, Wellington, ; was ; lan addition to an. already long list of scholastio: successes. Dr. Neale was born in Dunedin, and received his primary and secondary schooling at the -Arthur' Street School and the Otago Boys' ? High < School; Ho held junior and ■. senior to, Education Board £r scholarships, ■■■; and went :i to the university with a scholarship. . In 1914 ho graduated 7 8.A., in 1915 a M.A., LL.B., in 1918 B. Com '■;*! and in 1920 M.Com. His M.A., and LL.B. were taken at the age of 21. Part of his university study was performed vin \ Dunedin, - and x part; in Weilington, , Dr. Neale has held, among others, the positions of assistant master at j the % Otago ; Boys' High' School, instructor at the Dunedin Technical College, and Compiler-in-Charge of Statistics of Finance and Trad« /then Consus and Statistics Office. Since 1920 ho has been assistant in the T. G. McCarthy School of Economics, Victoria University College, Wellington.
