L The executive committee of the Trentharii; Scholarship War ~ Fund ;; held • its ■ an-; nual meeting in Wellington. ;;.; The annual report stated > that, ; the ; executive'■? had received -425 ; applications for bursaries and had ; made the ; following awards applicable during; the vear 1923 :—To children ;of deceased soldiers;' 72 bursaries representing a sum Vof ; £1934 13s < 6d; to children of partially/ or wholly disabled men, 38 bursaries : representing £895 j;;totchildren^ of men who served overseas and two bursaries representing '£70. The total number of applications granted was thus 112 and the total sum employed £2899 13s> 6d.
