WELLINGTON COMPETITIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH. correspondent.} WELLINGTON. Friday. The number of teams entered in the Wellington Rugby Union's competition for the 1923 season constitutes a record, totalling 132 as compared with 119 last year. There is a prospect of further entries being received. : There will be 11 senior teams, being one in excess of; last year, 14 juniors, 19 thirds, 21 intermediates, 20 fourths, 18 fifths, 15 sixths, and 14 sevenths. ■ ' . • Petone, Berhampore, Poneke, and Wellington College Clubs have entered 9 teams each, Selwyn and Athletic being second with 8 each. It is anticipated that there will be some difficulty in accommodating all the teams on the available grounds. .".;
