TWO DISCHARGES GRANTED. SIX ADJUDICATIONS. j A sitting in Bankruptcy was held at the Supreme Court yesterday, Mr. ! Justice Stringer presiding.. An, application for discharge from bankruptcy ; was made by George David: Foster, settler of, Waikiekie (Mr. Kirker). After some discussion and evidence'by the bankrupt, the discharge was granted.'',- v m.v .._•; ■.■". .." '■'■'■'.-.;- : %:; An application for discharge was also made by Mike Yovich, storekeeper of Ruakaka (Mr. Steadman). It was seated that an " agreement - had been entered into between the two,proved creditors, to whom £100 5s 'was owing, and the bankrupt, by which the creditors were to receive 10s in the '£ to be paid within eighteen months. The discharge, was ] granted on, the bankrupt consenting to a judgment for' the amount agreed upon being entered against him. : Thomas Francis Long,. timber broker of Auckland (Mr. ■, Field) was adjudged a bankrupt on the petition of the Waotu Timber Company (Mr. Anderson). , Mr. Field admitted-the claim by the petitioners but asked for an adjournment,: to enable the respondent to meet the debt. The debtor was prepared to : assign his assets to the > creditor. The application for adjournment" was refused. •. An adjudication in . bankruptcy was also made against Daniel Hishlon, quarryman, of Ruawai (Mr. Denriiston), the petitioning creditor being James 1 Foster (Mr. North croft). ' Counsel for bankrupt asked for an adjournment to enable the debtor to. meet the claim, stating-that his client was prepared to give 1168 shares in a lime company and a boiler valued at £400 now on the property of the company as security to protect Mr. Foster in his claim for £77. This application; was not granted. . Orders of adjudication were also made against the following:—R. Fewell, salesman of Auckland; Ivy Sumner, accountant of Dargavillo; C. R.
