LOCAL ELECTIONS.
CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED. In response to a numerously-signed requisition of ratepayers, Mr. J. H. Hannan has consented to become a candidate for the City Council at the forthcoming municipal, election.. ';;'. Mr. W. F. McCallum has been nominated for a seat on the Auckland Harbour Board as representative of payers of dves on ships. Mr. E. G. Skeates has been nominated as a candidate' for one of the city seats on the same board. Messrs. D. A. McLean and L. McGann have been selected by the new North Devonport Ratepayers' Association as candidates for the Borough Council. ... Mr. E. G. Tucker, of Takapuna, has been nominated as a candidate for election to the Takapuna Borough Council. Mr. Frank Myers, of Milford, is. also announced as a candidate for the same body. Mr. S. W. House, in response to a request from a deputation of about 30 ratepayers, has agreed to become a candidate for the Manpere seat on the Manukau County Council. Mr. A. J. Hatfield will be a cpndidate for re-election to the Wainui Riding seat on the Waitemata County Council.
