NEW ARTIFICIAL LIGHT.
HEATLESS AND BRILLIANT. CURRENT AND SPECIAL GAS. A. and N.Z. PARIS, April. 1. ' Dr. Risler, . formerly head of the University Laboratory, Strasburg* claims that he has invented a now kind of heatless artificial light which will revolutionise present methods. Dr. Risler uses tubes and bulbs filled with special gas, and by passing a current through them obtains eight times the light of the present 25 , candle-power bulbs at a cost of an eighth of a penny an hour.
