Izard, M.L.C. has been re-elected as patron of the Wellington Football Association, and Mr. C. P. Skerrett as president. The Rev. P. C. Nail, of the Garo Hills, Eastern Bengal, who is visiting New Zealand a* the Australian Baptist delegation, is at "Stonehurst," Mr. J. Y. Warren, of the town clerk's department, was granted two months' •leave of absence by the City Council last evening, on account of ill-health. Mr. Leslie Gordon Cameron, was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Stringer yesterday, on the motion of Mr. V. R. Meredith.
Mr. C. B. McClure, at present _ assistant master at Scots College, Wellington, and Mr C. Morice, at present on the staff of Wellington College, have been appointed to positions on the staff of the Wairarapa High School.
Mr. H. P. Kidson, who has been refleeted to the position of president of the Canterbury College Stuaents* Assoelation, is a member of the staff of the Christchurch Boys' High School. He was previously a member of the staff of Nelson College. '
Professor J. Hight has been appointed by the Professorial Board as its second representative on the Board of Governors of Canterbury College, Christchurch. Dr. Chilton. Rector of the College, is the other representative. Mir. Andrew Fairbairn recently resigned his seat on the Boarc' of Governors in order to allow the Professorial Board to have the direct representation which was made possible by legislation of last year.
