[BY TELEGRAPH. —PREB3 ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHTJRCH, . Tuesday. At a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association a letter was received from the English Hockey Association, stating that it was prepared to send a team to New Zealand if the question of expenses could be satisfactorily arranged. The secretary said that the probable cost of the tour would be over £4000, but New Zealand's responsibility would be much reduced if Australia would co-operate. The chairman said that Mr. H. D. Swan, manager of the M.C.C. cricket team, who was an old follower of the gam©, had informed representatives of the executive that he would bring the matter before the English Hockey Association, 8-nd would use his best efforts to have t- tour arranged. A letter waß received from Mr.. W. Rothwell, of the New fouth Wales Hockey Association, stating that the English tour could not be considered until an Australian Hockey Association had been formed. It was hoped that the proposed association would be in full working order in a short time. The writer considered that 1925 would be a suitable year for the tour. No immediate further action was decided upon. /
