THAMES WAR MEMORIAL.
[BY TELEGRAPH. CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES. Wednesday. A public meeting held last night resolved to go on with the erection of the war memorial, a handsome obelisk costing £2000, overlooking ' the town. It is claimed that the memorial would be One of the finest in New Zealand. The executive have promises of £5000. It was resolved that the balance bo expended in other ways to be decided later. In the meantime, the executive is-consider-ing various schemes to submit to a public meeting. ........ i
