FOUND IN THE HARBOUR.
YOUNG CLERK'S DEATH.
VERDICT BY THE CORONER.
The adjourned inquest touching the death of Colin Henry Trott, a clerk, aged 16, whose body was found in the harbour off Campbell's Point last Thursday, was resumed yesterday by Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M. Deceased resided at Alpha Road, Parnell. . Sergeant Parsons stated that he had made inquiries, but could find no one who had seen deceased after February 27. From the condition .of the body it ap-. peared he had bean drowned about that day. A lope was found tied round his waist, and at the end was a loop, -which would have held a heavy stone. There were slight irregularities in deceased's accounts which he had been called on to explain. There was no suspicion of foul play. Mr. Poynton returned a verdict of found drowned, there being no evidence to show how deceased got into the water.
