EMPIRE COTTON-GROWING.
INDEPENDENCE OF AMERICA. A. and N.Z. LONDON. March 11. Mr. Fred. Hodgkinson, a cotton manufacturer, speaking at Blackburn, said the Empire Cotton-(Jrowing Association had started excellently. Within six years sufficient cotton would be grown within the Empire to, enable Britain to become independent of America.
