March 8. A Paris message states that the French have completed their new advance, including a screen of troops between the British zone and the rest of Germany. Britain has protested to the French Government against the occupation of territory between the British bridgehead on the Rhine and the rest of Germany, in the interests of the French customs cordon. General Sir Alexander Godley is now in London to discuss the position. NO SECRET EXECUTIONS. GERMAN CHARGES REFUTED. HIGH PAY FOR SABOTEURS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association(Reed. 9.5 p.m.) LONDON. March 9. Advices from Dusseldorf state that General Degoutte denies categorically allegations of secret executions in the Ruhr. The correspondent of the Daily Express states that he has been unable to verify a single allegation of French savagery. Three German civilians have been killed since January 15. Each case was duly reported officially. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent at Dusseldorf reports that French officials believe the effect of Herr Cuno's speech will bo to stiffen German resistance and the policy of sabotage. There is no lack of volunteers for this dangerous game. Several offenders were recently shot on discovery. Young men are principally employed for this work at high wages. In order to guarantee the Allies against a further drop in the value of the mark and U- prevent industrialists organising delay in payments in the hope of depreciation, the French have modified the Ruhr coal tax, the amount of which will be translated into sound foreign currency values.

LONDON, March a The Labour party has decided to invite representatives of trades unions and Socialist parties in France, Belgium, ana Italy to come to London and discuss united Parliamentary tactics in reference to the Ruhr, security and reparations. This is intended to be the precursor of a larger international conference. _
