TE AWAMUTU MAYORALTY.

[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] TE AWAMUTU. Monday. Over 30 of the town's leading citizens to-day formed a deputation to Mr. L. Q. Armstrong and asked him to accept nomination for the Mayoralty. The speakers included Messrs. H. Y. Collins, J. B. Teasdale, J. G. Wynyard, and B. McGechie. Mr. Armstrong acceded to the reqeust. He has already held office as Mayor for four years.
