TE AROHA DISTRICT.
NEW SCHOOL AT TATUANUI. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AROHA. Friday. The new school building at Tatuanui la not yet completed, but the contractors, Messrs. Ritchie and Hepburn, of Te Aroha, have the work near to completion. The formal opening should take place in about a fortnight. •' The new building will fill a long-felt want at Tatuanui, for up to the present some 70 children nave had to be instructed in the Public Hall. Encouraged by the success of a Te Aroha settler last year, several district settlers are this year growing artichokes. This quick-growing and prolific vegetable is very suitable ■ for pig-fattening. Hay-making has not yet been completed in this district, some of the settlers having profited by the splendid growing season oy taking a second crop of hay oft some of their paddocks.
