RAIN INTERRUPTS PLAY. S. AFRICA 203 FOR SEVEN. 141 REQUIRED TO WIN. By Telejtmph—Press Association— Copyright A. and N.Z. CAPETOWN. Feb. 21. The fifth test match was continued today, but play was sadly interrupted by rain, the weather being dull and the temperature low. South Africa required 344 runs to win, but at 5.5 p.m. rain stopped play when they had lost seven wickets for 203. Nourse, 25, lost his wicket through over-carefulness. Francojs, 18, batted pluckily till beaten by pace. Blanckenberg, 9 not out, showed a bold front, and Taylor, 76 not out, gave a brilliant display. The fielding was good. The bowling was handicapped through the slippery ball. Following are the scores:— M.C.C. First innings . . ... .... 2PI Second innings .... .. .. 241 SOUTH AFRICA.
