QUEENSLAND BOWLERS.
MATCH AT TAKAPUNA. LOCAL TEAM DEFEATED. A trip to TakapuDii was made yesterday by. the member, of the Queensland bowling team. The visitors proceeded by ferry boat to Birkenhead, and were then driven to Takapuna, where they were entertained at luncheon. They were highly delighted with the districts passed through, .and thoroughly enjoyed the day's outing. In the afternoon a match was played against the Takapuna Bowling Club on the lattor's green. Queensland won t»/ 125 points to 95. the detailed scores being as follows, Queensland names being mentioned first in each case :— Hobson. Wyper. Mason. Overcll, 21, v. Fenn. Bull. Oniric Coltman. 20; Uhl, Butler. Rosser, Williams.. 26. v. Sinclair. Williamson. Duulop, Fraser, 18; McQueen O Sullivan. Elliott, Archibald, 25, v. Coldi cutt, Yeoman. Rryden. Hardley, 19; Johnston, N. Coldicutt. Barltrop, Ward, 19, v. Craig. Codd, Clarke, Brake, 23; Hooper, Brown, Shay. Roberts, 34, v. Veric, Bunciman. Wood, Morrison, 15. To-day's arrangements are in the hands of the president of the Auckland Bowling Centre, Mr. J. W. Hardley. In the morning the visitors will be • taken for a motor drive through the Domain, Ellerslie racecourse. One Tree Hill, and thence to Hoxvick, via Mangere. Lunch will be served in the Howick Bowling Club's pavilion, and a match against Howick will be played in the afternoon.
