MONte FOR CHARITY.

WELLINGTON TRAVELLERS. Figures contained in the annual report of the Wellington Commercial Travellers' and Warehousemen's Association show the large amount of charity work this organisation has in hand or has undertaken during the past year. The association raised £6719 17s 3d for dependents of members of the British Mercantile Marine who lost their lives through enemy action. All but £1000 of this amount was forwarded to the King George Fund for Sailors. The remainder is being administered locally. Twentyone children received , annuities locally last Christmas. Over £500 is invested locally as a reserve fund for the efforts in connection with established charities. Lasat year a total of over £3000 was raised for charity.
