I Tho hearing of a claim for £15, alleged 1 to be due as interest, made by Bert May, . of Surfdale, Waiheke (Dr. Fitchett and 1 Mr. Greville). against Cleon Mervyn I Newman, of Hokianga (Mn, Richmond and - Mr. Butler), before Mr. Justice Eced at [ tho Supremo Court, was concluded yesterday. The case, which was commenced r1 on Tuesday, was connected with tho f stranding of the scow Haere at Ahipara r in June last, a quantity of timber shipped > by defendant to plaintiff by_ tho scow - in payment of principal and on } a mortgage, failing to reach its destina- | tion. Further evidence was given, and t after hearing legal argument His Honor reserved decision.
