RACEHORSE SHEDS SHOES.
A PECULIAR ACCIDENT.
When one of the apprentices of the Jbndwick (Sydney) trainer F. McGralh returned to the weds after a gallop on M.igt.et, be asked MrGratl. if he could pee anything on his neck. To <ne trainer's astonishment he saw blood rimnin* down the lad's neck and on the lu.k of his shirt. The boy stated that he thought someone near the three furlongs post had thrown a stone or a piece of c!a«8 at him as he was galloping.^ Then it was discovered the mare pad thrown both her hind shoes heavy ones et that, and one had, evidently caught the back of the boy's head and inflicted a wound.
