BABY'S TRAGIC FATE.
There was a tragic end to a childish game in a house in Jones Street, Pyrraont, Sydney, recently, when Harold Hawlcins, a 10-months-old baby, was accidentally shot and killed. The "baby and . George Leaman, aged ?even. who lives at the same rddiess, vv> re playing in the hall of the. bouse at •"bnnt 11.30, when Leaman ran to a w&rdrobe in a front room to look for a tov motor car. He did not find the miniature car. but be discovered a nickel - plated. loaded revolver. This he took c"i!s-de to "play bushrangers with." Tie pointed Cue weapon at the baby, snd polled the tlinger. There was an explosion, and John McC'asserty, grandfather ff Leaman. who lives in the house, rushed in and found the baby on the floor. The bullet Ind passed through its bend, anrl lodged in the shoulder. The civil ambulance was- called, and the fhild 'aken to the Sydnev Hospital, where it died shortly after admission.
