CATTLE EMBARGO BILL.
PROTEST FROM DOMINIONS.
RECTIFICATION PROMISED. Reuter." LONDON, Dec. 18.
It is understood that the excision of clause 4 of the Cattle Embargo Bill, which was designed to extend to all the Dominions the permissive facilities granted to Canada to export stock cattle to Britain, has caused consternation in the Dominions, whoso representatives in London emphatically protested to the British Government that the action of the British Parliament was regarded as a blunder of the first magnitude, as it was impossible to differentiate between the Dominions.
The British Government, recognising this point of view, has now given an assurance that it will endeavour to rectify the matter early next session.
