POOR CHILDREN'S TREAT.
ROTARIAN CHRISTMAS TREE.
An invitation is issued to citizens to attend at the Town Hall on Friday next at 2.30 p.m., when between 1250 and* 1300 poor children will receive the gifts provided by the Rotary Club and others. The children will be collected Trom all quarter of the city by the city workers, their ages ranging from three to 12 years. Donations of books, toys, or money are requested, and should be sent to the secretary's office, 614, New Zealand Insurance Buildings, not later than this (Wednesday) evening. A band of Rotarians will-*Bort and arrange the gifts to suit the ages of the children. In addition to a toy, book, game, or other suitable present, each child will receive a bag of sweets, an apple and a large balloon. The tree will be decorated and illuminated. Those who aro unable to send or bring a toy or book to the secretary's office by this evening, are asked to deliver same to J;he supper room, Town Hall to-morrow. 'No charge for admission will be j made on Friday, and tickets are not necessary.
