FREIGHT SPACE ALLOTTED.
MORE KILLINGS THAN LAST YEAR,
Arrangements have now been made by tho New Zealand Meat Producers' Board for shipping space for frozen meat to the end of March, 1923. The new season's operations commenced with more shipping available than there, was last season, and without the handicap of carry-over stocks, such as existed in the previous season. More over, the monthly shipments will be more regular this "season than they were last.

The allotments for vessels leaving in January have just been announced by the board as follows, the two first mentioned being destined for West of England ports:—Ruapehu, 73.000 freight carcases: Tekoa. 54.000; Maimoa, 40,000; Carpentaria, 90,000; Port Hunter, 111.000; Otarama. 45.800; Kumara, 64.300; Port Elliot, 67.700; Arawa, 70.500: Westmoreland. 36.230: Port Chalmers. 66.000. Total. 718.500.
