ARRESTED IN SIBERIA.
WOMAN JOURNALIST. Australian and N.Z- Cablo Association. (Reed. 4-30 p.m.) LONDON, Deo. 15. It is reported that Mrs. Harrison, an American woman journalist, has been arrested by the Soviet authorities in Siberia. The charge laid against her has not been revealed.
A question regarding Mrs. Harrison was asked in the House of Commons last month. Mr. Ronald McNeill, faderSecretary for Foreign Affairs, was asked whether the Government was in possession of information that Mrs. Marguerite Harrison had been arrested by the Russian Soviet Government as an American spy, but had obtained release by consenting to act as a Soviet spy, and in that capacity had been responsible for the imprisonment of Mrs. Stan llaiding, a ''British journalist, and whether the Government had sought redress from the United States Government for the misdeeds of its agents. Mr. McNeill replied that reports had reached the Government but sufficient evidence was not forthcoming to prove whether the story was accurate.
