NURSERYMEN'S COUNCIL.
Tfio annual meeting of tho Auckland Council of tho Now Zealand Association of Nurserymen was held last ■week, Mr. G. J. Mackay presiding. A -welcome was extended to Mr. G. A. Green, Dominion organiser of tho New Zealand Association. The report and balance-sheet showed a 'satisfactory position. Officers were elected as follows:—Chairman, Mr. W. S. Johnston; vice-chairmen, Mr. G. J. Mackay and Mr. D. A Hay; secretary, Mr. T. Ballard; treasurer, Mr. A. G. Brown. It was decided to support the nomination of Mr. T. D. Lennie, of Invercargill, for the position of Dominion president for 1923. annual conference will open in Wellington on January 17.
