THE SIX-BALL OVER.

ADOPTED FOR THE TOUR.

The six-ball over has been adopted for the tour of tho English cricket team. The Question was considered by Mr. A. C. MacL'aren, cantain of the English learn, and Mr. N. C. Snedden, captain of the Auckland team, yesterday. The M.C.C. had adviSea the New Zealand Cricket Council that it had passed tho eight-ball over for Australian wickets, but it desired that its team in New Zealand should plav according to the existing law in England, six balls to the over.

Mr. Snedden referred the question to the Auckland authorities, who readily agreed to the proposal. Mr. MacLaren expressed his .sincere gratitude. A similar recognition of the M.C.C. regulations will bo accorded the English team throughout the New Zealand tour.
