GRAMMAR SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE. The Mount Albert Grammar School held it« open steeplechase on Friday. The course was a few yards 6hort of three miJe*, the competitors starting in front of the school, making a complete circuit of Mount Albert by following the roads at its base, and returning to the starting-point. About fifty boys took part The following are- the results : —Fastest time, F. G. J. Vallßnce, 17m 37c, 1; J. E. Gardiner, 18m 2s. 2; A. L. Somervell. 18m Bs, 3.
