PROHIBITION OF ABSINTHE.
FRANCE ENFORCING LAW. A. and N.Z. PARIS, Oct. 29. The authorities announce the final suppression of absinthe drinking. Manufacture was prohibited during the war, but many imitations have since been marketed, having aniseed as their basis, it has been now decided that all liquors which cloud when seven times tfcsir volume of water has been added will be forbidden. Manufacturers have been given three months to clear siocks.
