A CORRECTION.
Sir,—A slight error occurred in the press report this morning where I quoted Popo Leo XIII. as calling the "liquor evil a pestiferous evil." The press report, wrongly makes me say that the liquor trade is a pestiferous evil. In America I have never attacked or even denounced any one in the liquor trade while this trade was legitimate.
