«» EXTENSION DESIRED. The matter of tramways extensions was before the Mount Eden Borough Council last evening. • The Mount Roskill Road Board sought the council's co-operation in the, matter of appointing delegates to interview the Tramways Committee regarding tramway extensions along Three Kings and Dominion Road. The Mayor, Mr. J. W. Shackelford, and Messra, E. H. Potter and A. M. Bryden were appointed delegates. It was decided that rs many members as possible accept the City Council's invitation to be present at the next City Council meeting when questions of tramway extensions and electricity are to be discussed.
The ■ council decided to send to the Tramways Department a copy of a letter from a resident complaining of the service. Mr. T. T. Garland said the Mount Eden cars always had a "smoko-oh" when they reaohed the terminus, whereas the Dominion Road cars turned t'raight back without delay. At his suggestion, it was decided to recomi' 2nd the department for a " speeding-'x. - of the Mount Eden service.:'
