BREAKING AND ENTERING.

TWO PRISONERS SENTENCED. Two prisoners were brought before Mr. Justice Herdraan in the Supreme Court yesterday for sentence.

William Hughes, for breaking and entering and theft, was sentenced te 12 months' imprisonment with hard labour. His Honor said that while Hughes had not previously been imprisoned he had not been favourably reported on by the police. For breaking, entering, and theft from a dwelling. Tukarawa Pomare, who had pre* viously been in trouble, waa sentenced to two years' imprisonment, with bard laboar. His Hoaor also made an order for the return of the property stolen.
