EMOTIONAL FAREWELLS
CONSTANTINOPLE SCENES.
SOLDIERS PART WITH WIVES.
LONDON, Oct. 7. The Constantinople correspondent of the Daily Mail relates stories of emotional farewells between British non-commis-sioned officers and their wives on the occasion of the latter sailing for England. It was stated that the women wept, howled, a.nd wailed, which was very unlike the traditional parting of British soldiers and their wives.
'< It has been explained, however, that the women were Greeks and Armenians who had married British soldiers during the term of occupation.
