PIGEON-PLYING RACES.
The Auckland Racing Fiseen Club held its ninth old-bird race from Johnsonville on Saturday, a distance of 300 miles. The following were the placed birds:—Hunter Bros.' Silver Bell, 1016 yds. X: N- Waddell's Prince Fitzroy, 1012-Gyda. 2: Byan Bros.' Sentimental Bloke, 1012.5yd5, 3: A. G. Mays' Falcon. 1008 yds, 4; T. Robinson's Storm Fiend- 11,. 1003 yds «; X Turner's Wait a Moment. 1000 yds, 6. The sixth old*bird race held by the Dominion Homing Society was held on Saturday last from To Kuiti. The results were:—Mr. Baird's Lonsdale, 1013.1 yds. 1: Mr. Cssher's Star Boarder. 1013.2yd5, 2; Mr. Davis' unnamed, 960 yds, 3; Mr. Crocker's Thespian, 94ti.5yds. >t: Mr. Gilmour's Red McGregor. 931.4yd1», 5; Mr. Moore's Gilt. 934.2yd5. 6; Messrs- Hutchinson Bros.' poneke, 922.ayds, 7. Kemp's R d : ant Light. 995 yds. 7. Tho Eden Racing Pigeon Club held its Derby Race from Ohakune. an airline distance of ISO miles to-the winning- loft.
